Steve job's deals were with top companies like Intel and Google, but now apple instead of improving the company by working with top guys like Harman/Kardon or Bose, scares of an only catchy but very bad quality company, beats! Apple pays billions because of fear!

All beats is is an equaliser boost that's it no magic..Apple have superb audio anyway no need for a gimmick..

From what I've seen on the comments here, the Beats supporters aren't saying they are the best. They are just countering the detractors who say it is terrible. I am so sure the HTC One is much better that any useless iPhone that's 5 inches... I am talking about the m7.
And the funny thing is this, they think they'll lure alot of customers with like $800+ for a useless phone with n o functionality and some fancy headphones

you like the hype. I already tried that headphone. Bought from official retailer, had the $500 ish model. It has alumunium body. But the sound quality itself is WORSE. Very boomy and lack of detail. Really really really, overpriced. iWasted 500 bucks.

The smart business move was to go with the option that cost less, which is why they avoided the Beats licensing fee and went with their own proprietary BoomSound property. The Harmon Kardon version is a limited release and not available in most places. Anything else you need me to correct you on?

As for what Firmani said, yes, this is pretty good recognition for Beats. For a VC funded firm to be acquired by a firm of Apple's stature is a clear validation for their business and certainly makes the company far from being crap. Of course, I'm looking at it from a business sense, not the consumer-based fanboy goggles that you're using.

Their stake is Beats was an easy asset to divest. Clearly this is a topic you don't have any expertise on.
