Then it came, "Windows Phone has no popular apps and games" was covered by February, 2014. So, it's old now. Counting number of apps doesn't make the store any less capable of having those apps available on the other top dogs. More than 95% of popular apps that are available on Android and iOS are available on Windows Phone. You need to check the store first.

Your logic over Android's customization is irrelevant because Windows Phone is a closed source operating system. Android is an open source. The customization ability of Android will never come to Windows Phone. Heck I don't even want to. With Windows Phone 8.1, you can customize your phone a lot, when I see a lot, I mean a lot, more than Windows Phone 8. Check out youtube and WPCentral.

Another major problem with Microsoft, they just don't listen to the end users' opinions especially during the formal CEO. He was extremely arrogant!

This makes the device switching very very difficult!

Another problem with Windows OS is lacking of personal customization like Android. People who used to this environment are very reluctant to switch.

3 years but remember that WP is closed source and locked down. there won't be any custom ROM when your phone has reached end-of-life support.

That's why I prefer open source OS like Android, you don't have to worry even after software support is over, there's lot of custom ROM to choose from.

Please Windows grow up and release some phones we really need them I use Android just because Windows Phones are not available in market all of them are out of stock..
Why shouldn't Microsoft issue licence to these companies to make WP:
                          1) Lenovo
                          2) LG
                          3) Motorola
                          4) Panasonic
                          5) Asus
                          6) Acer
                          7) HP
                          8) Dell
                          9) Intel
                          10)Gigabyte

They all make smartphones and Tablets they can boost Windows Phones Market the only problem in Windows is that no phone is available in Market and if they are so they're really expensive.

                          They already have licensed:
                          Sony
                          Samsung
                          HTC
                          Huawei
                          Nokia

But I haven't seen any better phones except few from Nokia such as Lumia 1520, 925, 920, 720, 520, 525, 625 but the rest were flop.

After using 8.1 on my friend's Lumia 925, I've been in love with it since. This has finally convinced me to use WP. Back to Nokia again after 3 years! I always loved the Nokia hardware but didn't like WP, until now. Gonna pick up a 925 or 930 soon!

good that MS add basic functions after ~ 4-5 years. Shame Nokia pay for that own life.

I feel Microsoft should set precedent to be the 1st smartphone maker to offer 5 years software update support.

For sure Microsoft will steal a lot of shares from Sammy.

Another improvement is to increase the no. of popular apps that are currently only available in Android and iOS.

Last improvement is to optimize the display size during browsing. The searching bar wastes a lot of space since it does not follow the scrolling of the page. Try to learn from Android or iOS.
