I doubt of it. I think it won't be Z2 Compact due to nothing new in A2. And remember it likely Xperia A (Japanese Xperia ZR) successor rather than Xperia Z1 Compact successor.

I really wanted the Z1 compact, but the flash-bleed issue killed it for me. If this one fixed the problem, and brings along the same specs as that of the Z2, I AM SOLD.

But the main goal of the compact version is to keep things small, so perhaps the compact version should not follow the current trend which the successor will always gone bigger than its predecessor. Or else, the compact version will eventually be become not-compact anymore...

For those who think the code names are all about Assassin's Creed.

Z2 was called Sirius. Both Altair and Sirius are stars. Think again.

I don't see any good reason to buy A2, as it is completely similar to Z1 Compact.

Three things are absolutely necessary for me to buy Z2 Compact.

                              1.4.5 or 4.6 inch 720p IPS Screen
                              2.Ram should be 3gb
                              3.2500 mAh battery atleast.

And I'd also like to see dual speaker on the front.

This was THE mini flagship I had been waiting for. I like Sony products but the Z1c let me down. I'm truly hoping this device delivers.

It's such a shame that a phone with a camera like the Z1 Compact produced photos (in the night with flash) that ranged from pure unusable crap to just poor quality given the prominent flash in a part of the photo.

Thankfully I've been hearing reports that this issue has been fixed in the very latest Z1 Compact units, but previous owners who are affected by this are still stuck with no solution in sight.

A very few superficial changes, and SONY thinks that they can call it "Z2 Compact" yet it's pretty much the "Z1 Compact?" In which universe?
