Something tells me that it will have ceramic like materials inside to help disperse the heat. People complain about the hot batteries of long usage of metal phones (aluminum). Ceramic tends to handle heat better.

People are hearing the word ceramic & believing it's the same as tiles or other earthenware like terra cotta. This isn't the case. Unlike earthenware (which is comparatively brittle), engineering ceramics are made of very pure materials.
Ceramics are essentially inorganic solids (organic ones are polymers) that are also not metals. So in addition to what is usually thought of as “ceramics”, glass, diamond and graphite are classified as ceramics as well. The sapphire used as watch crystals is also a ceramic.
Engineering ceramics are extremely hard. They are the hardest class of materials known. So scratching a ceramic watch would not be much of a concern. They are usually more than three or four times harder than stainless steel.
I'm guessing that the chief advantage of a ceramic phone is hardness which resists scratches.
Admittedly, I do not know how durable it would be should it suffer a fall. It wouldn't shatter like glass, but rather "fracture".
This is cutting edge & it will be exciting to see if HTC can pull it off.

Cheaper? Easier to Manufacture? A wrist watch made from ceramic cost a packet!! I can only imagine this ceramic M8 will cost way above $1000.
Unless we have been lied to all this time from the watch manufacturers?
