Bad news for Microsoft. Their mobile OS has zero sales worldwide. And moreover, if the announce WP9, why i need to buy latest 8.1?? Most cases they are NOT compatible and no updates. WP is the worst mobile OS in the market, even worst than blackberry. Nowadays buy Android (recommended) or iOS (old). But NOT Windowsphone

That means it is still preferred by millions, which means it is not that boring. If people get bored with a company thet company will go down like Blackberry. Now blackberry too have reinvented themselves through BB10 os. I think its market share will increase due to z3 and other upcoming devices.
As for windows phone 8.1, it is not boring, it may not attract u but there people who prefer it.
My friend used galaxy and later lumia 720, he prefers lumia.

I hope Microsoft's work will pay off and their market share increase. I am currently a andorid user, but would love to have WP on my Xperia Z Ultra.

well sometime a company needs to lose some shares so they work more hard and innovate something . look at apple it was losing its ground. than they brought out iphone at that time it was a beast now its the same thing with a different hood and over priced . so apple needs to lose some shares again to innovate because there current product bs

Microsoft is really working hard after its decline in markets share. MS keep innovating, bringing new things to the market.

Hopefully it will be equivalent to Android version 10.2.4.6.8 v.Fruitcake etc.
A proper operating system, not a work in progress like Android.
