8 April, 2009
It's true. The Android-powered Huawei phone, which was first shown at the MWC 2009, turns out to be the next T-Mobile Android smartphone, presumably called the G3. Full pack connectivity, compact design and...

i think its classed as G3 because T-Mobile might own the 'G' name on the phone. Vodafone have it as the HTC Magic so in theory the Huawei one is the third google phone hence 'G3'

Oh it does not look like the iphone at all. I don't see any resemblance whatsoever. If you do not believe me, ask some Android or G mobile fans.

Let's hope it's not called HUAPHONE or WEIPHONE. Other than that, this chinese device should put Iphone into the fridge.

This is the best looking android phone so far. I love that the screen stretches from one side to the other. As long as the screen is over 3.2" and is responsive with strong colors this will be my next phone.

I'm liking the blue trim around the outside other than that it does seem to be a complete design rip. I must say though, I like this design way more than the G-1 and G-2 though.

Why does everyone have to compare all touchscreen phones to the Iphone? There is only so much you can do with a touchscreen phone design and guess what? its going to look like a candy bar which is what an Iphone is.

Iphone has a great interface and thats it... everything else is rubbish!

The new Iphone under-production boasts higher specs and whats that exactly... a 3.2 mp camera? wow still 2 years behind! and maybe MMS and video recodring..... they really going for it arent they! and for these extra features they going to make u pay over £40.00pm .... ha what a joke!

Other phones haves great spces... the only thing letting them down at the moment is the touchscreen interface.... and with each phone its getting better and better....

by the way I like the T mobile G3 looking very nice.

I like Apple. Because they have unique in design in all field ( Computers, MP3/MP4 players, Mobiles...etc). They have a nice, creative design team.

Mr.Jobs has re-invented the (Mobile) Phone. I do not know why other companies can not bring their own design ( I mean without copying iPhone). As you can see almost all the manufacturers trying to imitate (Copy) the iPhone.

The phone looks good but the OS is not full featured and it needs some years to be as symbian OS.

HA no one wants to buy an iphone anymore cause all the competition is making phones that look like the iphone, were the OS they want and work better then the iphone

i bet the updates are free as well XD they better be
but looks looks nice i haven't seen the OS yet but it's a keeper for sure
another company shuts apple up with there owned design and capasitive screen and makes it better

Actually, this one will be the G2, since the phone currently listed as the G2, the HTC Magic, is not going to be on T Mobile. Check the press releases and the Vodafone.co.uk website - HTC Magic is Vodafone exclusive, so this will be the G2, not G3, unless another Android handset comes out inbetween.
