I believe the M8 is a good phone. Love the way it looks. HTC has been making phones with a solid feel and build. Sony came out with glass around it with a very classic and elegant look, Samsung phones are just too plastic-ky and light to really feel like a premium product.
So far from friends using all 3 flagships, it seems that M8 and S5 tends to lag more after awhile while the Z2 still seems the fastest. THis is probably due to the minimal bloatware installed although yes less of a software suite than its competitors.
Samsung seems to have more hardware faults too after a year or 2 of usage so far from what i've seem and spoken to with cellphone repair shops. Usually the USB port problem as the most common.
HTC and Sony still proven solid after long term usage (2-4 yrs).
My preference will still be a Z2 over the others.

It's pretty obvious to happen with the htc even for small baisc config this brand charge where is the brang like samsung motorolla sell the same at the resonable price...............

How will HTC sales go up?
1. Remove that big HTC logo in front consuming a lot of space
2. Remove that 4UP camera sh!t

having had the one+ it was a good product. but the camera is ok on the One/M8. nothing as good as S5. but it does the job. my niggle don't like the Sense UI. i think when a company makes a phone. it should be available as Vanilla Android. And then Sense UI or Tocu Wiz or whatever.

To be honest, once you own it then you know the camera ain't that bad.
Performance wise it's superb smooth, Samsung S5 or Sony Z2 no way near it.
No regret selling off my Note 3 and getting this M8.
HTC you need better marketing and also higher up a bit that UltraPixel to at least 8MP.

Maybe the HTC One M8 is selling well, but the other models are not. HTC has to leverage on the One brand more, before its too late.

Those who like ios more have no choice but to stick with the no sd card slot and removable battery. In the android world, samsung outsells the competition because of those two things.

No surprise, people been asking for a camera that is in line with current trends, instead HTC removed the only good thing abt the camera, the OIS, and adds something super gimmicky, total uselessness. Another thing is why it is a mile long, its only a 5 incher but is longer than the dreaded Xperia Z1.
The One E8 fixes the camera and could sell well in some markets but to make it an international success they need to come up with a single sim version (and of course regular LTE support).
The new One Mini cost about twice as much as it is worth, its doomed.
Bottom line, HTC had the chance but blew it, they knew the users wanted card slot and a better camera. In addition comes the horrors of the past, the way HTC treated customers with defective phones was horrible and will not be forgotten so easily. I think thats the main reason, HTCs crimes of the past.
