They are requested by the app and if you would be able to deny them (which you can if your phone is rooted) then the app may not work. You can always choose not to install the app.

already updated the google play store on my lg optimus vu and minix neo x7. now the permisson notification in more compact unlike it was before i find it annyoing

jeremy, 04 Jun 2014Knowing is a thing but being able to denied a specific acce... morewell that's because note apps can send SMS (permision to "read" messages, add contact info (persmision to "read" contacts), access GPS for location bassed notes etc etc.. Google made a problem with generalizing permisions, it should say what app can or can't do and not just say it can do whatever it wants with messages and similar.. also, you americas are so paranoid :)

How permissions are displayed are less important than the permissions itself.
Recently whatsapp requested a new permission for using mic and camera without any notification to the user!
I generally pay much importance to those issues and try not use download an app requesting tens of permissions that are not related with its scope.
However twitter, whatsapp etc are essential apps and it seem that they are the biggest spy in this smartphone era!
Google needs to find a solution for these endless permissions which have no relation with what app offers to its users.

Why not we have the accessibility to turn off some access that application is requesting. That is doable in apple

Knowing is a thing but being able to denied a specific access while installing the app would be better, like the iOS Privacy.
There is no way I install an note app, on my Moto G, which requires access to my contacts, message, phone, gps and so on ;-)
