bb9900 is by far the ultimate BlackBerry ever made in every aspect!! bold 9900 is the god of QWERTY and this all looks crap in front of that masterpiece! bb is making square screens in QWERTY phones to increase screen size bt the fact is that QWERTY lovers never cares about screen size.. these square screens has ruined everything.

As a blackberry Bold fan and a user, I'm thrilled about this new BB Clasic because it's very similar to BB9900. My last BB was Bold 9900 and I must say it would be the best business phone and phone for nervous people like me with stresful job with a lot of phone calls and messaging, if it wasn't the poor battery. And it wasn't just for the 9900 but also the Bold 9790.
Because of that problem I went on Android (GalxyS3) and then on Iphone, but I'm missing the Bold 9900 filling during it's usage, the extraordinery keyboard and it's feedback when typing, the speed dial, just press one button and you are on, with S3 and iphone you have to press unlock button then you have to swipe the screen then go to speed dial screen and then you are on . The Q10 is not close at all without optical trackpad.
And I must say with optical trackpad, touch screen is unnecessary and excess, touchscreen only drains the battery, I was't using it at all. I hope the BBClasic's screen won't be with touch options.
I can't wait to buy this new BB, offcourse if the cons of previus models are elliminated.
Heads up BB guys we are in the play again.
      Best regards from sunny Macedonia.

Whilst I appreciate that many BlackBerry users will be glad to note the launch of new Qwerty based devices I can confirm that the touch screen based keyboard on the Z10 is very very good and I hope that BlackBerry doesn't abandon the excellent implementation of its OS 10 on their touch screen range. I hope the company continues with the Z series. As a Z10 user I was initially sceptical about making the transition from qwerty to touch with BlackBerry but now I would not go back. Whilst qwerty based devices offer superb tactile feedback I would rather have the extra screen real estate for apps, productivity and multimedia.

I like the new BB taking after the old classic BB features. They are strong in that area. afterall, there are some advantages in using HW keyboard and trackpad. not all people like touchscreen. some even are sick of it but theres not much choice

The benefit of the trackpad is scrolling, I believe.
Scrolling pages, scrolling through menus, scrolling through controls...

It would help word editing quite much. Moving the cursor on touchscreen is quite painful for me on both my BB Q5 and iPod touch and I in fact miss the arrow keys on my old HTC ChaCha quite much.
