Horrible design. So outdated. I hope Sony changes this before release or it will be the end of Xperia. Why don't they bring back the Xperia arc style?

It is mainly because the Z line is usually water resistant so that is why the bezels on the top and bottom are bigger compared to the G2 and G3 from LG that have very slim bezels. Look at the Sony Xperia ZL, it isn't water resistant so the bezels are thinner compared to that of the Xperia Z during their era. Look at the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the S5, S4 has smaller bezels compared to the S5. Hope it helps you with what you should know. :)

Look what did Samsung do ? S5 has bigger bezels than S4 because it has IP certificate and it is more durable more bezels=more durability.

I will keep an eye on the Z3 Compact, just from the looks it seems like it will have a 4.7" display, 4.8-4.9" will be my sweet spot though, there are less bezel, so they can fit a bigger display after all.
And please do the basics right Sony, that means phone calls should be good, they always have pretty below average earpiece volume. So kindly change that.
And about the camera, for me an 8 megapixel snapper will do, as long as it's excellent. Just don't try to include so many meaningless stuffs, otherwise it'll be another Samsung at the end of the day, watch no one will want.

I'am a Galaxy S line user (till now) but if LG will continue like this!? as they are already doing with the G3. next year I will be an LG G line user! (With the G4) but on the other hand, I extremely respect Sony (obviously particularly the Xperia Z line) because they are really going a great job!!!! But unfortunately, there is a single thing that keeps me absolutely back from buying an Xperia Z!!!! that are the horrendous bezels!!! but except the bezels, the Xperia Z line, is really from the best! So I really hope that Sony will solve this issue!!!!!!!!!!

The LG G3 is 146.3(shorter than z2), has a 5.5"!!! display and has a 3000 mAh battery, only 200 mAh less than z2.
Now how is LG doing this??
Mate smaller battery!! That's not an excuse.

This one almost certainly isn't the Z3. Sony flagships have demonstrated a clean black glass fascia irrespective of the body colour (for 3 generations). This one looks more of a successor to the Xperia C. The bodywork doesn't seem to be premium enough to carry a flagship title.
