u can change Miui for stock but sincerely Miui is more refined and has lots of themes well designed.
The price is dropping because they need space to Mi4, maybe came out on 20 july.
In some markets Mi3 and G2 costs more or less the same (Europe), Mi3 has some advantages in software and chassis.

Is it actual 'quad core - snapdragon 800 - LG G2/Nexus 5 smooth' or a 'substranded Chinese maker-smooth'. Don't get me wrong, I'm just clarifying these in detail. Also, Any idea of when the 64GB variant will be released in India? Thanks alot :)

Mi3 already has Miui V5 over A4.4 or stock Android 4.4, has OTG and NFC.

1. Limited Storage (16GB)
2. No 4G/LTE
3. Can't be used Single-Handedly.
Apart from these, there are NO CONs with this Phone. It is the BEST BUY in >USD 240 category. The OS (MIUI) has MANY nifty features, functionalities. The UI is very iOS like but you can change that with a Launcher from Play Store.
Bottomline: There are NO PROBLEMs/ISSUEs with the Performance/Quality/Reliability/Price of this Phone. This is the best you can get for such a price.

Sandy, 08 Jul 20143g runs on cdma not gsm 3G is the upgraded version of GSM network. and in CDMA it is called CDMA 3x network. collectively 3G and cdma 3X are called as WCDMA network.
