Millions of people still use it and don't complain. If there was something that suited my needs better I'd use it, but no, after Symbian everything went down the drain and any other OS looks ike a videogame spyware for kids. Grow up. I can't find the basics that Symbian has in any other phone yet.

Frankly speaking, how you want the developer develop apps for you if you don't have the guts to even release your product? By keep delaying the launch date, not only you show the developers that your product is half bake cake, it also show to the discouraging consumer interest on the Tizen phone... as far i can see, Tizen is quite decent OS, same like iOS, Android and Windows Phone before them, it take time for the apps store to be mature.

Anyone who bought a Samsung Wave knows this is a bad idea.

Honestly if Samsung was smart they'd make it dual-boot Tizen/Android so if Tizen is really superior people will use it, and if it flops like Bada then users can go back to using Android.

AnonD-131986, 11 Jul 2014It's will share the same faith with BADA OS.I agree. Only Bada made it to real phones! (I have the "original", S8500 as a just-in-case phone)
For some reason I think that Intel only joined Tizen-project to stop it. We all know (and some of us love) Intel, but we also know how big american corporations work - suffocate the competition!

It was definitely not smooth as WP or even Android, but at that time it was the only OS I could depend upon and honestly it never failed me either.

So think twice before what you are saying and try to get the point of others post.

Tizen has absolutely no credibility whatsoever. Neither does the Galaxy Gear. That's why Samsung ditched Tizen on their latest smartwatch for Android Wear. Nobody cares about Tizen, just like nobody cared about Bada.

Samsung is a powerful company and when its powerful they can do a lot. If they really want it to become a popular OS they can do it but it will of course take 5-10 years at least. I am positive that it will be much smoother than android in performance once its released.

Samsung is only strong when they're blatantly copying someone. Motorola, Sony, and then Apple. Now they got their behinds handed to them by Apple in court, they're dazed and unable to think what to do.

Original thought? That's a step too far for them.

Tizen is a phantom OS used to emphasize Samsung's view of itself as an innovator. They have been promising Tizen phones since at least 2012. It's now mid-2014 but they still don't exist. Don't expect them anytime soon either. And if Samsung eventually does release one, watch it join Jolla at the bottom of pile.

Tizen is so much superior i use it in my Galaxy Gear 1.
Galaxy Gear came first with Android, its battery life takes 1.5 day, later Samsung pushed Tizen update and i updated to Tizen now battery life last for good 3-4 days and its much smoother and better RAM management.

I think Google know how much potential Tizen is, this is why they released Android L with ART to confront Tizen, but i think its too late for Google they should thought about that since ICS to put ART
