Ironically, Apple is fighting hardest for privacy, as a way of differentiating itself from Google and Facebook, because Apple relies on hardware to make money, while Google relies on Search as its main activity.

2015 will show the results of Apple's initiatives.

This was already debunked a while back in the US itself, where it was also a concern. Google kept very quiet during this time, as actually it was found that Android does more to track its users.

However, this was never about the actual tracking, but rather CCTV attacking Apple as it has an agenda against Apple. It tried the same thing last year where it backfired in their faces, remember?

This is a selective targetting, since as Apple explained, they do not actually track, yet Android does, but CCTV is keeping quiet about this, as the Chinese manufacturers mainly use Android

    As usual, politics.

China also warned about Android controlling too much of the market. The whole point is to get people to switch to China's own mobile OS that was announced this January.

China would know best since they make the iPhone. I don't trust the iPhone either especially now with the fingerprint ID.

What rubbish. Android also tracks you in different ways, and Android is widely used in China. Of course the Chinese Government will promote anything to protect their own commercial interests. This more about Apple foothold as opposed to anything of a real national threat. We all know what is their real motivation.

The US government and senate started this war when they accusing as spying and ban Huawei as communication supplier to US companies. No wonder China retaliates with equal treatment.

                      Good for concerns.

But if the govt really want to stop this, they would have to stop making all kinds of phones, electronic, PC/Macs.. smartdevices.

Take out all GPS modules from phones, and stop using iOS and Android all together. As both are major US companies.. which have huge data mining capabilities. And at the same time, take internet off the grid.

If you realise all the major OS (desktop/mobile) are spawn from US, you will revert to stone ages if you choose not to use them.

Then ban the dang phone in china. Or stick with the local phone manufacturers if they are really concerned with these features. Heck, they can even make their own iPhone clones! AFAIK, Chinese people are one of the largest countries that go iPhone-crazy everytime Apple releases a new phone, so their government can't really do anything unless they ban usage of iPhones entirely.

You have a choice. Don't grab it if you don't want/like it. It's simpler that way.

Only the CCP is supposed to spy on Chinese citizens and know everything about them. Come on Apple, why do you think Google was almost kicked out? Well and to also give local companies an advantage.
