my grand 2 issues after kitkat update.
1)before update ,i used to lift the call through s-viewer screen, now i cannot attend the call by s-viewer.
2)phone wiil not even after connecting to socket, i have to restart every time when it is not charging.
pls help me with this.

the solution for restart problem as below:
- restart your phone and when you see the phone model press volume down button.
- keep pressing until the phone complete start up, you will see safe mode at the left bottom with gray background
- wait until your mobile load everything, you might get a message "software updated successfully".
- restart your phone again and have fun :)

I upgraded my phone to kitkat and my phone started lagging so much that i cant play asphalt 8 on low gfx also. My free ram is about 350 mb only.plzz hlp..

i agreed with ur statements that after updation of 4.4.2 kitkat restarting problem raised it was a bug in grand to for fix this this issue samsung a new firmware version updation made this is a binary updation nk1 specialy for restarting after blue screen after update this basebend version ur phone never restart after update. i suggest u plz go to care centre and update nk1 updation .
this updation come on 15.nov.2014
i faced same problen now i updated my phone never restsrt after this

Resarting problem will come out ...but before updation there is problem else ....so give any idea about restarting

justin, 19 Nov 2014Hi guys please help me out, my grand 2 after nov 19th updat... moreDude did u updated through kies?...try using ur ph in safe mode for 10-15 mins...if this didn't work try hard factory reset...press power n home and up arrow key for 15 sec...1st do factory reset then wipe cache partition...if this also didn't work wait for the new update...hopefully we'll receive 4.4.4 till December end...do let me knw ur feedback...

My primary queries on Kitkat upgrade for Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos are:
1. Does the Kitkat upgrade re-use the menu and back buttons available on the devide or it occupies the screen's bottom space, thus reducing the overall available screen-space?
2. Are there any hanging or reboot issues?
Please help me with these queries before I start upgrading.

New firmware version ddubnk1 solved my blue screen and restart issue..... but i didn't got it from OTA.... downloaded from sammobile website and flashed it.... now its working fine
