Hi all I updated my grand 2 and bull shit s tat it getting restart problem and also screen goes blue and te phone restarts twice a day. I tried doing safe mode too but no use. M unhappy wit grand 2. Suggest u all not to buy tis

I have the android kitkat update - g7102DDUBNG1 of 8th august installed , following is one month review of the same -
1. 20% call quality poor reception and voice reception , though better than Sony phones , but grand 2 call quality in 4.3 was better in comparison.
2. DAYLIGHT HDR MODE NOT WORKING , GIVES WASHED OUT PHOTOS , EVEN INDOOR PHOTOS UNDER ARTIFICAL LIGHTS NOT GIVING PROPER RESULT.
3. CPU cap of Power saver mode not working.
4. Random blue screen , abrupt hangs while receiving calls and random hangs - stability update issues faced.
Unless these 4 issues are sorted out , no point absolutely in updating to kitkat , and I hope SAMSUNG IS LISTENING , EARLIER DAY I CALLED SAMSUNG HELPLINE , THEY DENIED ANY UPDATE ISSUES !!!
For 4.3 users , please hang on there till android 4.4.4 or if you get user better response to new update on gsm arena , either way it's a minor update , and the negatives outweighs the benefits.

yes jhon its posible to restore jellybean firmware.download firmware of grand and odin.now open odin and flash ur mobile by slecting pda and click on firmware u download.its done.its tested by me personally

I have the same problem after updating my application, but i can solve by undergoing procedures advised by above person, entering into safe mode and so on.
Now it can be used smoothly again. Thanks.

After new update f grand2. There is problm that when i hide any item from gallary i can't see hide item if i clik on show hide itme..any one can tell me that how can i see hide itmes...

hi, today i just update my gg2 to kitkat, and i got some bug, such as restart, some button cannot use, and some app cannot open.
but, i have solution for this issue, if u dont want to do factory reset setting u can try my way...
"you just need to uninstall some app, i have try to uninstall some app that i thougt it may cause this issue, anddddddd i got my phone back" just---Try This At Home !!!

Hey I had the the same problem.My phone was restarting after every 2 mins. But the problem is resolved after I started my phone in SAFE mode. To enter into Safe mode - just after restarting your phonen it displays The makers name and name of the phone model just keep pressing volume down key until it shows home screen. Your phone's Down left corner will have small black strip that reads Safe Mode. Then it will display a message that phone upgraded successfully. Then see if it is running smoothly. After that you can restart your phone as you do normally. It helped me wish it'll he

My grand 2 is restarting after updating to kit kat (4.4.2). it happens mostly when i try to watch videos on youtube! not only on watching youtube it restarts at any time. i am highly dissapointed in samsung. There quality is reducing. Bad samsung , very BAD!!

If all else fails, try this :
1. switch off the phone
2. dismantle the back
3. take the battery, the sim cards and the sd card out
4. put back the battery, the sim cards, the sd card and the back cover
5. switch it on...
Mine works smoothly, otherwise back to the service centre...

Hi, I recently purchased Galaxy grand 2. Post upgrade to Kitkat 4.4.2... the camera stopped working. I tried resetting to factory settings but it still didn't work.
When I checked Settings>>Application Manager>>All>> Camera... I see it has 0.00B memory.
Can anyone guide me with a workaround to start the Camera application.
