Just updated to 4.2.2 on my grand 2. seems to be slow in first use. but after rebooting 1st use now its more faster. i didnt like while color notification panel icons, otherwise no changes in looks, camera button on lock screen. finding more whats new.

Plz dnt update your grand 2 phone. After update im facing following problems.
1. Suddenly screen appears blue and phone gets restart. This happend two to five times a day.
2. On lock screen while opening lock, screen goes blank (black) for 0.5 second.
3. Im not able to download anything from playstore.
So plz dont update your phone.
I try to hard rest my phone, try to clean boot cache, and also try safe mode. But phone also gets restart problem in safe mode.
With these the ploblem dont get solve.
In will go to service center tommorw and lets see what will be????

Inspite of reading many mixed reviews iUpdated my grand 2 to kitkat... the fone is right now awesome... i read many comments stating frequent restarts of their grand 2... the actual reason for this is incompatible softwares... please note that not all softwares that works great in 4.3 will work in kitkat... if u installed the application backup of your previous version u may face frequent restarts... so go for fresh apps instead of installing ur previous backups... ur phone will also turn awesome... if u have doubt juz chk it urself....

I updated my grand 2 to kitkat... right now the perfomance of my phone is simply awesome... better ram usage... faster than b4... but the battery drains faster than b4... waiting for their update to fix this...

After the software update of my Galaxy Grand 2 to Android 4.4 2 KitKat (About 360 MB of the update package), I faced many problems regarding the stability of the phone such as the problem with the change of the wallpaper and the problem of the phone getting restarted by itself after every 2 minutes. I searched through the internet to overcome this problem. Finally, I found a solution to this problem.
Just follow the steps below:
Shut Down your phone by pressing the lock button and then selecting Power Off.
Remove SIM if any. As, the main problem of the instability of the phone is due to the incompatibility of the KitKat Software in Dual SIM phone.
After the phone restarts by showing the the names of the phone and its model, keep pressing the volume down button till the lock screen appears.
Then you will observe a Safe Mode mark towards the bottom left of the screen.
Go to Settings-General-Application Manager. Then, clear the cache of alk the applications manually by clicking on each application and selecting Clear Cache. After, you clwar the cache just restart your phone. Then, you have to update your software again after restart. Only use Wi-Fi. Go to Settings-General-About Davice-Software Update. The device will download a 21-22MB update package. Restart and update your phone. Then the problem will be fixed.
