Guys i have tried a solution worked for me . you can also try.
just shutdown the phone , remove your memory card and batter , keep it for a while and put it back. it should solve.
however before doing this in my case i uninstalled lot of application, kids game , vault and hide it pro (audio manager ).
but i think if i would have tried my first solution it would have worked.

After update I am not able to make calls, Samsung service center informed that my motherboard has to be replaced...

After update to 4.4.2 kitkat(grand 2)
>it works fine
>battery performance increase slightly
>overall performance increase
>internal memory increase 1gb because this os takes less space
>New camera shortcut added to lock screen and notification icon color change to white( dont like it)

I cant change any wallpaper from my gallrey,it shows that the wallpaper han been set successfully,but when i come back to home screen it shows the by default wallpaper
Moreover my battery is drainning out more quickly
How can i get rid of these,please suggest

I want to share my experience in updation.After installing the firmware given by samsung in my Grand 2 mobile automatically the phone restart once in 2 minutes and touch pad is not working.Moreover I have received only incoming call sound without name display.Then I hand over the phone to Samsung service centre at Villupuram,they said that I have not properly installed the firmware and they tried to reinstall but failed.Now they say the board get spoiled and we will replace the board.So,please take care when you install new KItkate updation in your Grand 2.

only android version shows that it is upgraded to 4.4.2.....but no features of kitkat available.....still the same old jelly bean 4.2.3 looks.....what to do??.....

I am facing following issues with the kitkat update of grand 2, hope samsung will come out with fixes soon :(
1. Now it become impossible for apps to know my current location without switching ON GPS, now any app can't detect my current location using wifi or mobile network, so to do even very basic tasks you have to switch on GPS every time.
2. Whenever I start using my phone, lock screen is displayed with a lag of 1 second.

karan, 17 Jul 2014after upgrade my grand 2 4.4.2 kitkat it go to restart auto... moreThe only solution to the above problems is to master rest ur phone before and after updating to 4.4.2. For backing up ur apps, messages, contacts, etc., use kies...
