No name it needed when anger is speaking, this MF from microsoft are killing Nokia slowly and there will make people hate that product once was the best mobile( in my personal opinion) the market had, They were just affraid of the power of the new android release in the Nokia devices and that's why they shut it down.

Neuron, 17 Jul 2014Bring Back symbian The best indeed Yes you're right Sir! History has recorded that it was Symbian that brought Nokia to be No.1 mobile king and TOP BRAND in the world for so many years.

Whereas the burning WP platform only set Nokia on fire and burned it to the ground. And what is more interesting to note is that: Windows Mobile OS had never won the battle against Symbian in the past.

Don't understand why Nokia needed Elop so badly...? All Nokia need was a strong will to survive like Blackberry. Good management and loyal costumers could have easily saved save Nokia (definitely not Elop!).

Please bring Symbian and the axed jobs back. Europe has to have their distinctive OS and alot of people and their families need the jobs and the economics to grow.

Firstly they send out its spy as the CEO of nokia, forced it to use Windows, killed its market, devalued it, and bought it, harvested its brand name. And now lays out thousands of Families's life. Only if Nokia had not gone to the dark side and went Android's way 3 years ago.

Don't blame Russian or Ukrainian for the fall of Nokia.

The only person to be blamed is S."Flop".

Let's see who is going to like Nokia now?

AnonD-170479, 19 Jul 2014But he isn't not just Nokia its Microsoft and their future ... moreOk. When you say Nokia sales are "going up" are you saying thus of a fact or you are saying it based on how much you like the WP or how much you believe in Nokia??

Figures probably don't support your view on the viability of the Nokia brand.

Why Nokia can't go up with Microsoft is that their policies for the market where Nokia exists or existed is very very unstable; Microsoft can kill a 3 months old OS version by releasing a completely new platform you can't upgrade the old one to and kill support for the platform within a year all together.

Microsoft can kill newly released phone by making a new one within months before the existing one even reaches a quarter of the worlds market.

You can talk about sales going up because you probably have the 1320 or the 1520 - but you need to ask yourself how many people have it. The ones you see are mostly android phones and a few 520 phones. Even the Asha phones are not doing well at all. And mind you they are selling at almost cost price.

This moves will only render the Nokia group an R&D department in Microsoft at best. It's simple.

I understood this as soon as Microsoft announced the Nokia thing and tried getting other OEMs to make their phones by offering them large sums and free OS deals!!

Listen up Microsoft CEO, sell-off all the hardware stuffs like X-Box+Kinetic, Lumia, Surface, keyboard+mouse..etc.
Forget all the legacy stuffs from Steve Ballmer & Stephen Elop.

Focus on what you do best-Software!
You will make more money and create more jobs for people.
Imagine if Microsoft can create games for all the platform such as Windows, Linux, MacOS, Android, iOS..etc.

Imagine Microsoft can create all the consumer apps and enterprise apps for Windows, Linux, MacOS, Android, iOS..etc.

Of course, the last is cloud computing!
