from source "As far as we can tell, the original poster has no track record for accurate information"

So for you guys that dont think that the specs are up for the job, there is still hope.

But multitasking is still badly missed.

A good 3.2 mpix camera with auto-focus, assisted by at least dual LED, can take decent photos. 8 mpix is more than you ever need, and the extra pixels only create more distortion, that the picture processing has to remove.
The CPU, and Ram improvements are probably good enough for the iPhone OS, so no complaints there.

The hardware sounds ok, as long as the camera is a good one... but, it might very well be crap... and if they dont add cameralight, indoor photos is out of the question, still.
On the software side, they are still not on par featurewise, to competitors... multi-tasking is a must.

Oh.... Stop moking the iphone. My bet is that u dont have one. Im not saying that iphone
Has gd hardware. Anyone can tell that N series and samsung has much higher spec phones
Than iphone. But you must try this, test out other phones side by side to iphone.
You'll imediately love the quick responsiveness of apple. Its not specs that matter, its how
It gets the job done. Eg lg viewty kicks iphones ass in hsdpa download speed Test in data
Per second, but iphone wins everytime in actual web surfing etc...

Keep your 16gb iphone ? only a 1.2mp upgrade on the camera ? Are you missing the fact that most rumours point to autofocus and video recording ability on the camera as well as the sensor upgrade? not to mention the fact that the increase in cpu speed and the RAM upgrade will increase the phones ability in games

If u just compare this with omniaHD, the latter has far better spec. last time omnia lose to i ph becoz of winMO and lousy resistive screen. Now I see no point OmniaHD falling behind new i ph. Good luck apple.

Here we go same old people talk same old rubbish. iPhone regardless of hardware is the best phone on the market. Go out and use one and youll understand. If you don't understand then, well you probably won't get many things that will change in the future. These slight upgrades are nice, but I bet Apple have a bit more in store...

When will apple make a more "exclusive" phone? Cuz I'm sick and tired of watching every kid on the street with the same iphone 3G!

i think i'll just keep my 3g iphone 16gb. More speed more memory and only 1.2 upgrade on the camera? Ok the 2.0 camera isa just as good and if you have a jailbroken iphone, you a can bring out the potential of the 2.0 camera and the iphone itself. Well i'm not gonna waist my money if that's all that apple did for the new iphone, funny thing is oblivious people who aren't tech literate will still line up at the apple store with their outdoor tents in the mall parking lot and at&t stores. I really do hope there's more than just what they said in this article. Well it's gonna be a weekend sell out as usual here in the us lol.

So far nothing has convinced me to by an iphone. Yes it looks great and there are loads of applications. But after reading articles that say people may buy applications but they don’t really use them. What is the point? Personally my interest has been in the long awaited Palm Pre. And for the first time in history I have an interest in a Nokia phone the N97 I am not against Apple it’s just that they phone doesn’t make me go wow. I don’t know how long Apple can keep putting the same phone out with only minor tweaks but good luck to them.

although it doesn't beat the competitors its still gonna get a lot of sales, millions.

I was saving up for the new iphone but the specs mentioned are nothing short of dismissal. I'll probably hang around till the official announcement & see if things improve or it's definitely the LG Arena / Viewty 2 or HTC Diamond 2 for me. Goodbye Apple.

brynn, 13 May 2009 Have been thinking what to put because i have said in pas... moreiTunes will convert copies your WMA files to AAC (as long as they are not DRM protected) to the iTunes library so they can be added to your iPhone, MP3's stay the same and sync straight across.

Have been thinking what to put because i have said in past if apple adds an auto focus cam etc i would buy but it depends on price on pay as you go if available,,cam/video clarity and vid res and fps ..battery life,,...Maybe it maybe a rumour?? I also would like n97 but thats been a bit of a letdown at moment plus other smartfones on the way..I am in confusion at the moment but as apple may have addressed its major complaint about camera and mms,,txt forwarding,,copy and paste maybe its a winner..Their are probs for me however with half my mp3 collection in wma format and other things i would have to check before i would consider an i- phone..

I really hope Apple isn't (yes, isn't) preparing a tablet. The tablet market is nothing for Apple, they have to stay focussed on the markets they have in hand now.

Apple is not about the cutting edge hardware. More about the level of integration between devices. As always, it is the software that makes all the difference on the device and if you are a Mac user, the integration between all devices is phenonamel (wrong spelling?).

I myself don't really care about a new hardware upgrade to the iPhone. I'm more exicted about the 3.0 software update as it will start releasing the full potential of the device.
