The slot for SIM card is so inferior in quality that if you do it 3 to 4 times it gets deshaped.You have to apply a lot of force unlike other phones. It is meant as one time use and not for changes in Sim card.

Indeed an amazing piece to own . I wasn't lucky the first time
But got it the second time , really enjoying it .
I have used iPhone 4s n 5s and Samsung s5.
But xiaomi is class apart ... Battery performs
Is too good..
And packs a punch I bet u this phone gonna
Give apple and Samsung a run for their money.
It's way better phone than the apple and Samsung .
And has been priced cheap for people to be in dilemma
That it ain't good but believe me it's a Pocket Rocket .
I m loving it ,, and it feels special to hae something
Which very few people have and are desperate to have it .

Hello Everyone,
I am using is for then a week, it is just amazing, for such a less price, with so much customization. They have taken all the good features of iOS, Andriod and Blackberry and made MIUI. Pulse Light is amazing notification, without waking up the screen. So many settings and games like Asphalt with sound works just excellent. I think this Device is Winner..

Congrats to who ever innovates. Inexpensive and great features is what a smartphone should be, at razor thin profit margin... Not many company would do it. Hope to see more phone manufacturer doing so for the consumer beside just Xiaomi.

I got the new xiaomi MI3 this morning. Its class apart from samsungs thug series. great and value for money.

I think he didn't necessarily mean China. It's popular in poor countries (in general) because you get great specs for less money than you would pay for a similar Korean or Japanese brand. :)
China may be wealthy as a nation, but you read the global news (not government controlled media) and you hear about abused factory employees who get paid little. Indicative of poor wealth distribution. Hence, even his theory applies to many Chinese people, perhaps not the country.

In order to stay top and overtake ... moreI believe the mi4 would is made out of metal around the outside and its stainless steel which is better as its not a soft metal like the iphone. I don't believe that a phone has to be all metal for it sell well. Xiaomi are the Amazon of phones its the services you get and the freedom you by making the phone look totally how you want and the ability to control apps which makes this phone popular and also the mi4 to me looks top quality plus add to the fact that it get updated once a week and its very cheap with excellent build quality.
