It will be too big. It would not be a problem, if it would available in a smaller form factor, but the only Moto which is smaller, is the Moto E, which is a significantly weaker phone.

I planned to buy G2, but I don't want a phablet, so I will not buy.
This "5 inch" madness is really annoying.
Every usable phone is 5 incehs or bigger this year. :(

If its priced like this, upcoming NL730 is going to chew it for dinner as early leaks suggest them to have price gap of 50 US$ and NL720 have 5 MP FFC and Zeiss Lens, 8 GB On board storage with expandable storage, 1GB RAM, WP 8.1, obiously better battery and design etc..

720P is just not high enough for a 5'' display.

Hopefully this price is wrong: the Moto G was a solid mid range phone, but the price it was sold at made it one of the biggest bargains of the past 3-5 years. But sadly for Motorola, it is raising prices at a time when there is more brutal competition in the Android space than ever. The Chinese manufacturers are keeping everyone honest...and likely close to broke.

This doesn't seem to be a successor to Moto G, but simply a plus screen model for who wants a bigger screen. It will run along the Moto g 4g

It was most obvious that Moto G2 or G+1 is coming soon, since flipkart (official and the only seller of Moto X,G,E in India) has been providing 2000 Rs off on Moto G from past few weeks.
