iOS doesn't do real multitasking so why should Apple put more than needed? They better make a perfect one handed usage iOS and perfect the sapphire panel.

Meh, I don't think many iPhone know or even care how much ram their phone has. I'm also pretty sure most wouldn't know the exact resolution of their screen or the clock speed of their CPU, either. Apple's never been about the specs, they're all about the experience. Android on the other hand, is all about specs, PPI, and Antutu scores.
Even with only 1GB of Ram you're still looking at what's going to be 2014's top selling phone.

Apple did not fail the iphone users with 1GB before. iphone will not lag even with the current iOS7 and phone wont lag even if you open lost of apps at the same time. And Apple is workin' with iOS8 with the simplest but useful features. Let's just wait and see. Personally, iphone did not fail me. Id rather have iPhone than an adroid phone to be honest.

Okay seriously, I have the ipad mini with retina and it keeps crashing in browsers and stuff due to low ram, after a fresh boot it's only got 300 odd megs for apps. It is RIDICULOUS that this is 2014 and apple charges insane prices for their devices and yet makes a technical omission as important as RAM and not moving with the times. The google nexus 4 launched TWO YEARS AGO has 2gb ram. I really hope this rumor is false and all 2014 devices by apple are 2GB ram, along with the higher end ones having 3GB. It's one area that Apple should really NOT be cutting corners on.
