Oppo Find 5 won't see Android 4.4 KitKat update

22 August, 2014
The reason is that Qualcomm hasn't provided Oppo with the binary drivers for the APQ8064 to support KitKat.

They are obviously lying abt the lack of support since the original Sony Xperia Z runs on the same chip and got kitkat also HTC butterfly will get kitkat with same chip set.,

ok, i don't own a find 5 but this is the lamest excuse. soc manufacturers not providing the drivers necessary is generally common, but there are plenty of drivers for this specific processor, the xperia z,zl,zr, htc butterfly, droid dna, nexus 4, optimus g have the exact same processor... what a lie !!

Strange because the xperia z has also the same chipset (Qualcomm MDM9215M / APQ8064) and it did received the kitkat update.
