Well to be honest apple creates needs, were there aren't any; but if the battery indeed ;lasts for one day, for some people, like me, this is a total bust. iWatch should tell you time, if it has notifications from your services even greater, but if you have to charge it for these reasons everyday, the need for such device is 0% for me. Plus the swiss have nothing to worry about, this is just a geeky gimmick that will never replace a truly amazing timepiece like theirs. Unless of course Apple wakes up and copies the Swiss watches and puts technology in them making them also last for at least 1 week, if they can do that sure why not. Well..i'll be back to read about iWatch X (v10) once it's out..

They attempted to copy Samsung and failed, now samsung has pretty much all the time to recover what it lost since the S5 disappointment.

bng, 11 Sep 2014i change my watch battery once in a year :)I have a citizen eco-drive. A few minutes of sunlight here and there is all it needs.

Form my Sony smart watch 2 I get one week and only in the evening I turn off my bluetooth from my phone and that it, so acctualy the watch is on all the time.
I have to mention that the light sensor is on .
Now I will go for the Sony smart watch 3 .

I get almost 3 days on my Samsung 1st Generation gear. Daily charging unacceptable no matter what.
