Apple Watch to require daily charging

11 September, 2014
Although Apple is mum on battery life, one Apple spokesman has revealed that it lasts about a day.

LOL! Samsung Gear running Tizen is yet to be beaten with power longevity of 2 to 3 days per charge. Has anyone thought of doing a Kinetic system for any of these smartwatches? Energy generation from movement?

The Apple Watch and the Moto 360 have one thing in common: you need two of them to last a whole day. One is on your wrist, one is on the cahrger, alternatingly.

Battery_devolution, 11 Sep 2014I get 5 days from my Gear 2. I wish these companies would s... morebut when they do stop churning out aimless features, the idiot fanboys (both pro- and anti-) will jump on them for being "out of date" or whatever they go on about. Literally can't win.

Given the relative infancy of smart watches, the feature creep will likely keep going for a bit, until they figure out what they're actually for.

I get 5 days from my Gear 2. I wish these companies would stop churning out useless features and concentrate on battery life. I want my phone and tablet to last more than a day when not on wifi

Design is impressive but battery life is very important, coz we'll be using it on daily basis..

                    Recharge your Tablet,
                    Recharge your Laptop,
                    Recharge your bluetooth headset...

Smartwatches with poor battery and little functionality without a partner device nearby are doomed in my opinion, I've tried a few and sold them all on.
