iPhone 6 A8 GPU benchmark suggests it's behind the curve

12 September, 2014
The phone scores just marginally better than the iPhone 5s with the A8 GPU having little to brag about.

Also, the iPhone 6 has beaten the S5 in numerous tests in graphical performance, despite the S5 having a quad-core and 2.7GHz clock speed. Problem is, since you are technically illiterate, you don't know what difference x86 and 64-bit makes, nor do you understand the concept of architecture and efficiency obviously. So you should not be even involving yourself in this discussion, since you don't understand the topic of conversation. By your logic, an Intel i7 at 2.0GHz is slower then an S5 because the numbers are lower. This, my friend, is why you make yourself look a fool to those in the business.

That's great, the iPhone is well behind the S5, so imagine how far behind it is to the new note 4, with 440 gpu, and running at 2.7Ghz. But go on isheep, paying $1100 for a phone with no sd card or removable battery

That's why at keynote Apple had to compare performance gain over the original iPhone to make it sound like an awesome upgrade.

Trey, 15 Sep 2014Lol, when will android fanboys realize its not what you hav... moreWell iOS doesn't require a lot of hardware, simply because it doesn't DO a lot... It is simply an applications grid.

Android devices have 2-3 homepages with live widgets, which are all running simultaneously , receiving, processing, and displaying data.

So yeah, iOS limits your device to just what it is CAPABLE of doing.

Trey, 15 Sep 2014Lol, when will android fanboys realize its not what you hav... moreI had an Iphone 4 and I loved it, it was smooth and well designed...but after a while the store started lagging, and I was fed up with the Itunes, or the conversion what I needed to do every time when I wanted to watch a movie on the road....

and I hated that I needed to jailbreak it whenever I wanted to customize something...

I bought an android device and the world opened .... since then I just laugh at IOS...and the so called user experience....

They buy Apple because they think it is premium, no..its just plain expensive...

just a short review what you could do with a standard android device..

                    - copy music without any app...just drag and drop
                    - play back movies (full hd mkv) without conversion
                    - Customize your device
                    - NFC, BT etc filetransfer.... oh DLNA without limitations...

I can continue for hours and I was not even talking about the Infrared...

Apple-fans... you just don't know whats out there.

The android device does not mean SAMMY and SONY....

                    open your eyes...please

btw I could buy any of them... I just don'T want it...m8 HTC all the way baby...

If the graph on the apple website is anything to go by it looks like there has been a 30-40% increase over the 5s if so then we are looking at a minimum of 26000 but how about we just wait until it can actually be tested before we make any claims because obviously anything until then is just speculation.

I think KitKat has made so pretty good strides for the overall Android experience.

I haven't had any problems with apps crashing and such on the Moto G I have. Paid $50 for it. I also had an iPhone 4s 8GB that I paid $120 for around the same time I bought the Moto G. Both offer great performance given they are both considered lower end devices for their respective platforms.

I also have an iPhone 5 that I've used day to day, an LG G Pad 8.3 and an LG G2. Love 'em all for different reasons.

Point is: I'm very excited to see what Android L and iOS 8 bring to the table, because what makes any hardware great is how good the software is that run on it.
