the news is not about apple pay stupid ... its about NFC chip being limited to apple pay.
Yes my android already has some sort of pay which i dont care .... but i can do a lot more than just payments with my NFC chip ... thats more advanced to me than a dumb iCRAP.

What a laughter... Apple still & should live in communism 3rd country. Apple is not trying to protect their consumers, but they are lacking of professional security & emergency teams, thus always need to and has to put limit to their iOS and Mac system. What a shame for such a gigantic tech company.

But NFC is new and a innovation people. Only with one purpose at the moment. But fear not, it will be later used for other Apple products. And only with Apple products. That is innovation, paying more for less.

lol, 17 Sep 2014seriously ROFLing .... Apple pay, unlock hotel rooms ... hm... morethen why dont you request android to also have their OWN android pay, of course it will only work on apple because they invested in looking for partners to accept apple pay, why would apple do all the work in inviting investors to their system but let other non-apple products use it. thats the dumbest business move ever

seriously ROFLing .... Apple pay, unlock hotel rooms ... hmmm Apple opens up NFC only where it could get back some money i guess. Instead can you give any example like tap on Apple TV to play ur tv show or channel from a TV guide app ??? ... nopes it wont do that because they will not get any money for that.
Serious money chasers only these fruit sellers

android users on the attack again. full out attack. I don't even see the issue you guys are posting, it's like you guys are just making a bunch of crap up just to attack apple. Apple pay does not even store your credit card information. what is the issue? Also they are openning it to any developer out there to use their NFC system such as unlocking a hotel room door, or whatever. I see nothing wrong here, and I don't even know wth you guys are complaining about. It's like you guys randomly make things up as ammunition of attacking apple. It's going to be great, chill out, if you have an issue with it, go by a note 4. Samsung needs business.

Samsung and other companies are called bad names by users every... single...time they release a phone without NFC... but now NFC is useless because Apple has not allowed its use with other than THEIR OWN PAYMENT app?
Wow! There are really Apple fans out there!
I am almost buying an iStone so that I could see that shine... red... accessory that comes with the non NFC-iStone.
The clown nose.

Now let's not forget. SJ was really in to open standards and Apple as a company still are. They just forgot one minor detail. It must be there's and everyone else paying them royalties to use it! Whether it actually is there's or not? Well probably best we don't even start on that one. There always the court room if else fails I suppose!

harlekkin, 16 Sep 2014So why haven't Samsung & Co. offered Octopus on their p... more"Apple are advancing NFC by not tying it to a particular BANK app."
Now THAT's some masterful Jedi trickery to spin the actual news: Apple just tied NFC to a single banking app called Apple Pay.

Now that's a d*ck move!
Where's the pairing of many new devices through NFC?
Where's the fast configuration tags that seamlessly change your settings even in places where location services don't work (such as underground structures)?
Where's the fast contact sharing with devices other that iDevices?
Where's the Paypal NFC payments?
Why the hell would anyone want to be limited just to payments in a *single* service when there should be so much more functionality available?
That's Apple my friends, they lock you in whatever way necessary! -- INNOVATION at it's BEST!

So who use iPhone NFC now as ifans bragging a few days ago??? Nobody .. if you live outside USA. Its a useless paperweight feature. Also Apple pay only work with a few stores in USA far less than google wallet.
Android NFC + taskers=tons of possibilities

AnonD-85193, 16 Sep 2014Sharing files, take a phone bump phones now transferred sim... moreIt's all Apple is I am not a troll
I commented that the iPhone6 is just a larger display iPhone5S.
Adding that if on contract you would be upgrading to the iPhone6 from the iPhone5 http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=4910&idPhone2=6378
There was a rumour also which stated the iPhone6+ or the 5.5" version would only have 1Gb Ram.
I posted that there are NO 5.5" phones that only have 1Gb Ram.
Gsmarena has the iPhone6+ @ 2Gb Ram
My understanding is that Gsmarena will find out soon, the iPhone6+ like the iPhone6 BOTH are 1Gb ram
Despite being a non Apple fancier this does come as a shock
Tim Cook has misled the world and I don't see how he can call the iPhone6 an upgrade in any loose meaning
of the word
So many significant facts were DELIBERATELY omitted.
