Call me troll or android fanboy, but here are the facts: 21st century flagman that can't do multitasking (because of little amount of ram), can't connect to other devices via Bluetooth (except Apple of course), can't connect to PCs normally (you need iTunes installed), can't shoot 4K video, can't expand memory (highly overpriced 64GB & 128GB versions)... do I need to continue...Apple you FAIL!!! Go buy your expensive toy and have a nice day iFans! :)

Double your iPhone RAM using one of two methods:

      1. Buy another iPhone. 2 iPhones = 2GB RAM
      2. Buy a Android like, S5, Note 3, Note 4 Z2, Z3, G2, G3..... the list goes on.

I had a message "Google Earth is low on memory" on my iPad Air, so 1GB IS NOT ENOUGH!!

Why make 64-bit processor, that supports 4GB+ memory, if you only put in 1??

gam30toronto, 17 Sep 2014and i am to make a point that millions of us DON'T NEED Who is "US"? So do you speak for all iPhone/iOS users? What it should be about is what YOU don't need.

I never ever had to use like three apps at once. How is that even possible?! I can listen to music and browse the Internet. What else do I need to justify the need of more then 1gb of ram?

Dota2pro_player, 17 Sep 2014S**t brand? You can only say that because you cannot afford... moreYours is the exact kind of stupidity one would hear from people who care too much about keeping up false appearances and think that buying an iPhone helps. They spend too much of their life's savings for buying something like an iPhone and then assume that others who are not buying it is because they cannot afford one though its they themselves that have barely managed to get one. This seems to be especially true about many Americans who pay a laughable $200 for a contract iPhone and think they are rich. Whats even more laughable is that it no longer even has such novelty. In my country, if you guess that somebody holding an iPhone either drives a cab for a living or runs a small shop in some corner, you would have a 75% chance of guessing right.

In many countries, there are much costlier phones than iPhone and people buy them too and not because of the cost, but because of the features they need. If an iPhone is really worth $800 (full price), There are many who wouldn't mind spending twice that amount for a high end android phone because they offer a number of features which would either take decades for Apple to implement or never get implemented at all.

iPhone is at best, a feature phone and many be good enough for you and some people who *want* a smartphone might even think its one, but people who really *need* a smartphone would still end up buying an Android device whether its cheaper or costlier because there are no other alternatives.

iPhone does not support multi-tasking because due to limitation of Apple CPU Chip such as A8. May be this is the reason it does not even need more than 512MB.

For sure no problem at all for Android device to watch YouTube while browsing internet and do FB and listening to music simultaneously.

IOS doesn't need more ram because it doesn't have as much feature as android. Windows 7 need more ram than XP because it has more feature. When IOS will provide same feature as android it will need the same ram as android. For this reason IOS 7 is very laggy on 512 mb ram in 4& 4s. But once we used to hear that 512 mb ram is enough for IOS.

was mentioned on the spec sheet directly after launch. No surprise one week later.
