Nagen, 22 Sep 2014No surprise, people have been waiting for 4 years for the b... moreactually a lot of these iphone users are also ex android users who left apple for bigger phones. now they are coming back to apple, just like the iphone6 plus. apparently a lot of these were purchased early by android users because they were familiar with the size, so the ip6 + sold out much more quickly.

No surprise, people have been waiting for 4 years for the big screen, 50% of the 10mil are upgrades, new user for iPhone is not that great, Android does a good job in attracting a new user due to their regional strategy, affordable (but decent) devices and several choices..Apple iPhone does not meet those aspects. Its focus in core North America, Carrier based discount or Unlocked Phones that gets into Black market and those which goes to India & China where people want them badly more than they can afford. It's a crazy world.

The logical explanation for this outrageous number of sales is mostly due to owners of previous models (5/5S & even 4S) waiting, but desiring an updated iPhone. Now that it's here, those who held out on the most previous released iPhones are now upgrading. But once the dust settles. The growth of newcomers to the iPhone 6 most likely won't be as much as previous models growth (as in people switching over from competing smartphones to iPhones). This is a great achievement now, but on the backend those figures might not be so compelling.

I... morePoor argument when an iPhone carries the same internals as many other phones. iPhones are expensive because that's what Apple knows they can charge and get away with. Sure the case may be slightly more to manufacture but overall they just have very high profit margins. If an iPhone was spec'd like a Note 4 for instance it would be priced MUCH higher.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are the current Best Mobile LCD Displays and the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 4 are the current Best Mobile OLEDs Displays. Both are impressive and excellent displays with great state-of-the-art display technology. We recently gave the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 our overall Best Smartphone Display award, and for the time being that continues for all of the reasons originally mentioned there..........

Not unique, exclusive or anything. Just expensive. I'm not saying they are bad phones, as they are not, but there's nothing exclusive or classy about them except the price. Similar to Rolex, they sell a million watches each year at high prices. Good watches, but not as unique as an A. Lange & Sohne or a Patek Philippe which are bought by people who really understand horology and class.
