although in general BBOS 10 is way better than 7, its native apps - notes, calendar are actually WORSE. The notes replacement - "Remember" - you don't have much room to type and see your notes, because it is cluttered with all the folder, note type info. The best alternative meanwhile, Evernote - which allows for fullscreen view of your notes - is unable to undo edits...something so basic, it can't do! I just wiped out 3 months of notes (I use it as a scratchpad) because I wanted to (ironically) copy it to another file... accidentally pressed cut instead of copy on the Blackberry's rubbish tools... all gone.
On BBOS7 this was impossible because the trackpad allowed precision selection AND the context toolbar was actually a button menu, so you could highlight your option before going ahead.
As for Calendar... why is there no neverending agenda?

when will other devices get official 10.3 update ?
really waiting for long time.Authorities have mentioned 10.3 will be officially out after the passport launch .

I think BB can access android apps now, used to be a BB user but now an entrenched fan of Galaxy Note series.

G, 23 Sep 2014Good hardware ... would much prefer Sailfish on it, though.Why? BB OS 10 is the closest thing to Sailfish that will ever be available in the US. Gesture-based OS (built on QNX instead of Linux), Qt-based programs, true multitasking, and the native ability to run Android apps. BB10 is the most technically advanced smartphone OS around, and it's really not even close.

Lot of Blackberry bots here as usual.
Whatever you BB bots claim, this phone is pricey.
Very illogical price for a platform that have diminished into small market share.
Just think about it.
People can get so many better phones with $600.

I'll buy this phone when it is available...I'm expecting that this phone will cost me a lot but I'm wrong...I'll get two passport for this price tag.. for me and for my wife....

BB only problem is lack of content (apps) compared to IOS and Android. The phones have always been solid and great work horses. I might try this one out.

The thing a lot of people have to realise is, if something is too expensive for them, then it is not for them. Blackberry have designed a phone for a particular area of the market and at specific price point. Cheapskates asking for a reduction in price and deriding it because THEY see it as TOO expensive compared to 'this' and 'that' need to move along, nothing to see here.

I think the BB phones are best in managing documents and emails.

Anonymous, 22 Sep 2014why do people care so much about phones. they pick a side a... moreFinally someone got a good sensible thougt through. there is no right or wrong decision here. if u pic what you like its a good thing. it serves yoy the user not the rest of the world. so guys pls make good choices and hey you'll be fine. weather is symbian, apple ios,android or windows it must server ur needs as you need as there is enough info on this device and thier software and hardware to aid you in selecting what is required. cheares mates. :)
