How does it compare with N9 ? You were most ac... moreYes it is comparable with N9. But frankly design of N9 was better. Camera of Jolla is better at night as compare to N9, at day time its almost equal. There were more native apps for N9 but on Jolla less native apps but thankfully Android support is there which means you wont miss any app. Hardware wise N9 was better but its not like Jolla is bad, it is comparable. Like signals quality on Jolla is better as compare to N9.
If one has used N9 then he knows how hard it is to go back to a phone with buttons. Jolla has more gestures than N9 and believe me for an N9 user it will take just 15min max to get used to it.
One more thing N9's OS(Meego) was a finished product on the other hand Jolla's OS(SailfishOS) is still developing. So in OS you might miss somethings. But Jolla is pushing monthly updates which means it is developing fast.
As per my usage, I have used N9 and now using Jolla and it works just fine for me. I am happy with my Jolla

The OS is generally smooth and performs well, however once a few apps are open, it slows down considerably. Media buffer times and opening some Apps takes a while. Screen is crap, and camera is ultra low quality. Trying to claim that it's a great piece of hardware or specs are all that's needed or desired is so self defeating. The hardware is and always will be a major problem for Jolla, in that neither in terms of marketing or real world performance is it acceptable.

Ive been waiting for more than a year for it to arrive here in Malaysia. Sadly, still didnt arrive. Not even news of getting one
Eventhough Im angry for that, I can still understand their decision. I dont think that my country is a good market for them. People here only care about spec and numbers. Either that or Iphone.
Thats why right now im thinking of getting import service from Hongkong

Jolla, way the phone is more expensive in U.K? the price in uk £279.00 on amazon is not equal with $270.

Redmi 1S is 6k. Jolla is 16k for almost similar specs.
Sorry to say but expect an "UBER FAIL!!".

its way too better than spydroid(android)
.. the android is too open to deal with confidential stuff
as long it is non-(android,windows,ios,BB) its good to be on a safer side of this os

Bit of an ambitious price, that too for this spec...They are a new brand and a new OS.I think they should have reduced the price by half or even lesser.
