They don't think this note edge will sale well, Samsung seems to be in a bad position this year. Too many Chinese competition. I still love Samsung!!! You are the king!!!

This Note 4 Edge should have been the ONLY Note 4 form factor, sold at the normal Note 4 price.
I'm guessing Samsung is threading carefully. I want an Edge. Making it limited and much more expensive won't attract potential buyers.
Samsung, you know the best strategy to finally stomp the iPhone 6+ would be to release the Note 4 Edge, equally with the regular Note 4, with just $100 difference.
I'm holding on to my Note 3, and I suspect a number of Note 3 users will not be willing to upgrade to the regular Note 4. I just don't see much reason to upgrade, unless the Edge is easy enough for me to get.

I thought sammy were smarter than this. anyway note 4 edge, I say whatever to that idea man. I'm buyin a standard note 4 N910C. if they want to keep this thing in thier basement and keep calling it "limited" then I guess their dev team in lab coats can keep it. I will have it when they "unlimit" it for all to have and use it as we please. poor strategy from sammy if u cant make a product by the millions do distribute to anyone who wants it, dont bother showin us and danglin it in our faces then!!!!

Oh well played Shamsung, reveal the edge as an innovation to promote the Note 4.
The reason they dud this was to turn attention away from the Note 4's small improvements.
No-one wants to upgrade from the 3.

They needed a unique device that seems precious, and hard to obtain, this way it will force people to pre order this one, by making it more exclusive and as a "limited" edition model.

it seems like Samsung has decided to turn this into a "limited" edition in order to increase it's value, (not money) but as in, oh it's a precious device, it's "exclusive" type of approach to this.

This device is more of a technology showcase this is why it's expensive and sold in limited numbers. It's pretty much useless at current state in functionality wise.
Everything gotta start somewhere and this is the start and anything starts fresh won't be that great but will be improved on years to come. Look at the television in your home and look back how television is 30 years ago.
