I have to say that its just sad that Apple cant do any level of decent QA on a software release. You don't release something without QA, its just dumb.

TheNeighbor, 02 Oct 2014Build quality? You mean the iPhone 6 Plus has excellent bui... moreYes it does, despite what you would like to believe. Drop tests, sit tests, Consumer Reports and Square Trade all confirm, along with countless reviews. Apple's room for deviation is very tiny, compared to Samsung for example, a gap the size of a credit card they just say is a 'feature' lol.

Bendgate is a concern for sure, but if the complaints do not continue, it can almost be concluded that it was a form of media sabotage making an issue out of nothing. Antennagate for example, was less of this, as the issue persisted despite Apple's protests to the contrary.

We must not be blinded by our bias towards brands, which is just silly. If you like certain products, it does not mean you have to defend the company, or attack its rivals.

Lastly, attacking iOS on principle, what do Android fans think about Google's plans in this article? http://www.forbes.com/sites/ewanspence/2014/10/01/google-damages-open-source-android/

Pretty well every ios major update brings Bluetooth issues. 4/5/6/7 all had initial problems

As we all know you should stay away from the early versions of the next greatest release (and that just doesn't apply to apple). Wait until x.03 or better still x.10

Things happen for a reason, and despite the brainwashing that Apple haters feed you, millions upon millions of phones will not sell, no matter how good the marketing.

iPhone sales have only grown year on year, and are still going strong. Despite brilliant marketing and a huge budget, Samsung is now losing sales. Are their phones bad? Nope, but rivals are now offering the same or better, at cheaper prices.

Why are Apple's phones selling very well, at higher prices? People pay a premium if they feel the value is justified. build quality, user interface and the overall experience all provide the 'intangible' form of added value. It is not just the hardware or software alone in isolation.

If Apple loses sight of this, then their sales will fall. Android manufacturers have a lot to learn regarding this, and I feel that finally they are beginning to, hence a lot of moves which imitate Apple these days.

AnonD-121678, 02 Oct 2014Apple really need to sort themselves out, people will only ... moreThis is always said here like a mantra. Truth is, the other manufacturers also face lots of problems, but mainly Apple's problems are publicised as it generates a lot of hits for some reason.

Go to any manufacturers forums, and you will find a ton of issues from its users.

Apple remains on top because of very high quality customer service, and customer satisfaction. Apple's product consistently rank highest in customer satisfaction year on year. (Rivals are catching up though).

So, the lesson here is not to be swayed by fanboys (personal bias), or even the media (chasing hits and ratings), but to just be better informed, and make decisions based on what you want from a device. Choose one that does it best for you, regardless of platform, manufacturer, brand etc.

The best phone is the one that suits you best.

Apple really need to sort themselves out, people will only put up with so much before they decide to move elsewhere even the diehard Apple fans won't put up with it forever.

If you look at Android today it has to work on 100's of different kinds of smartphones, tablets ect but yet you never really see these kind of problems, that your seeing from Apple that only has to work on a few devices.

Once apon a time you bought Apple because it just worked, well these days it just doesn't, it one problem after another and this is from somebody that buys Apple smartphones.
