I mean, who uses just a smartphone on holiday, or at important events? For Facebook and social networks the One M8 is still more than capable.

If this is true, then well done HTC, even though were not the first to put a flash on the front.

Sony did with the C3,but I have never seen it in the UK. I remember going to Roma and taking selfies with my wife at night.

Well done HTC, I wish you had the marketing budget to advertise like Apple and Samsung.

I'm a pro photographer, I have been for over 20 years, some of the rubbish I read about megapixels is rubbish.

A lot of you are crying for a phone with more megapixels, yet its not going to improve your picture quality.

My TV is 46inch and yet the pictures on my HTC One M8 look amazing.

Like most people who take pictures on there phone, I don't print my pictures, so can someone tell me why I need more megapixels?

With 32 mb memory, this phone won't have memory card, and it is bad.
And the naming of HTC phones is very confusing, all phones having nearly the same name

AnonD-298840, 03 Oct 2014I still think that the One M8 is the most beautiful device ... moreActually M7's design was much better IMVHO.

But M8 is definately the better phone with much better battery backup, sd memory slot, significantly beefier processor and touch to wake.

I still think that the One M8 is the most beautiful device ever made and I'm lucky to own one.

AnonD-286474, 03 Oct 2014This selfie thing needs to go awayYet it won't, as long as stupid kids who like to show their dumb faces to their dumb girlfriends in Facebook and other social nonsense places exist.
They don't know how to use a camera either, or don't have the money to buy one.
                    Shame :-(

AnonD-305089, 03 Oct 2014I so agree with this, they need to trim down their portfoli... moreHTC Desire 816 was a best seller and it sold more compared to HTC One M8.That way they should stop making higher end and concentrate only in midrange devices :/

HTC I think is a senseless company, sometime they launched a flagship phone wirh 4mp Back camera and marketed the ultra pixel and now they are going to launch 13mp front cam. Seriously ??

I don't like 13 mp front cam, it's not for men.

Lets see if the flash in front camera will make people blind.

Hhmmm.. i think not. Htc is not stupid to not notice the flash. Even there is a flash i think they will put an option autoflash/on/off.

To apple fanboys, there is no new in iphone upgrade except for the size and another coloumn or maybe iphone 7/6s will have wireless. No new idea. Apple got eaten by android.

This EYE phone will be the new flagship as it drops the ultra pixels everybody hates

The 13Mp camera is the only 'difference' in specs to the M8.

IMO maybe both the Windows M8 and Android M8 productiion will be wound down as the Desire EYE is purchased instead

LG have imo learned the "Samsung" lesson, the LG G3 gained microSD expanion plus a removable battery as both these were NOT on the LG G2. The LG G3 added QHD, the LG G3 differnece to the LG G2 isjust those 3 changes

HTC have included a removable battery !(already had expansion) http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=6713&idPhone2=6074

Dot-WiFi, 03 Oct 2014even for long distance, my eyes hurt when have flash , now ... moreThis is a good question. They should put a not so strong LED flash. The idea is not only good for selfies, but for Skype usage in dark places too.
