I've used them my self and I concluded that 1020 is a lot better. yeah its slow I admit.maybe because the apps that you have on the device is too much. The android system as we all know is for gaming. IOS of apple are more on features. and windows system is default. your like carrying small pc on a hand.

Lumia 1020 is a fraction of second slower than the 1520 in most tasks except camera. Price difference between the 1520 and 1020 is quite large now. 1020 is cheapest phone with OIS.

Second, if i argued on something, that was an argue about Nokia 1020, and the ignorant's coming here, not apple/banana. And what i've said about it, is more then legit. While others talking nonsense: oh only the camera is worthy, oh but the camera is slow. I say, well, apparently i use it way more as a smartphone then a camera, and go figure, it works perfectly, while lacking laggs and other glitches, i can pretty much do what i need to do with it, plus that i hold a camera worthy of praise. Now, i come from Symbian, and symbian is still the best out there no matter how many will argue with me. I used them all, i know what i'm talking about. But, just cause wp is not a preferred system (and lack's 1000 fart apps, and other forms of apps), that really does not mean is unusable as allot of ibanana and galaxy scam fanboys try to say at every Nokia announcement. Why do i peek on these devices? Well, i like to make fun of crap, and i have the right to do it, cause they are crap. Especially the hardware whom now apple also joined, proving how much concern they have for their customers. I just can't stand stupidity, and while i know why the devices sell, starting from the seller it self, i just need to make fun of a device priced at 1000 euros worthy of less then 300 that bends like there is no tomorrow. And this will be a matter of: "everytime when i get the chance, i'll do it". And no, right now i really don't care i hurt some people love for ibanana. Cause their biased minds just deserve what they get.

Lumia 1020 was quite expensive at launch and it was thought by default as a niche device, hence the number of units manufactured was not even close to any other WP device. Also, because it was a niche device it does not represent actual competition to any other WP device in the current lineup.
1) Only one reason to lower the price - clear out the stocks before successor arrives, probably until Christmas. The hardware (processor-wise) is outdated. This means that it most -likely won't support any other future updates for OS or firmware (not even Denim is guaranteed). Being a niche device MS will need to provide a successor so that fan base remain attached to WP OS. 1020 did not have competition camera-wise and it was something you could really brag about (see all the NatGeo sessions etc.).
2) I have seen all kind of stuff related to this phone. The one that unnerves me most is simply the one with 'more of a camera than a phone'. I love the camera - but I use it less than 10% of the time. There is only one thing that is missing - speed dial. That's it. I never had it hang or reset. And the experience is silky smooth so I don't care about the cpu. The only problem is shot to shot times. 808 had a dedicated chip for this. 1020 does not. Most other phones have around 20% of the camera resolution of the 1020, not to mention sensor size, algorithms, or pureView - so fast shot times for them is 100% normal and do not put strain on the CPU.
3) I also own and used S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, and IP4S - so I am used to what all the other OS and ecosystems offer.

I am a fan of quality, superiority and experience. And no brand has this trio but Nokia, while neither of the new mobile brands have experience their devices still being in beta mode for the mass, apple at least had some quality in their overpriced not much of a gadgets. But, well, with the iblend6 apple lost quality field to.

Wow you need to calm down. He was stating shot-to-shot times were slow and indeed it is. Even using oversampling it takes a long time for the shot to be saved, probably because the 1020 uses a S4 SoC. There's no need to attack other phones on your comment either. Nuff said.

As for camera slow blah blah blah! Wel man, the question is: What's the point of having a fast camera when 80% of your pics will be useless selfies, fuzzy dusty outdors ugly and blurry. Now, that's the question;). And about that slow working device, let:s not talk useless cause we all know now isn't it? If 1020 is slow, that means windows phone is slow. That means you have neither 1020 neither other windows phone. Meaning your just a troll pissed on his crappy ibend1,2,3,4,5,6 or samsung scam2,3,4,5. ;).

Surf net, play games, watch videos, read pdf, etc?? Which smart phones nowadays can't do all these?? A cheap Xiaomi phone can already do all these. Is no big deal at all! But 1020 is just too slow with all these tasks. What's the point of having a great camera when it has problem capturing the right moments?!
