AnonD-316599, 07 Oct 2014The cycle to change the devices, for people like me who do ... moreYes and yes.

I have had 3 Galaxies so far that I kept for a while. I returned the GS5, because the camera had a very poor dynamic range and blasted out light areas which were unfixable later in PS.

But I keep swearing off Samsung because they do not support their devices well and I was left with bugs until the very end on all 3 Galaxies I used.

I changed to the Z2 and now to the iPhone 6 Plus and the iPhone is the best phone I've had so far, so I'll keep it for a while I think.

mixa, 07 Oct 2014This is one of the biggest problems and many ppl still don'... moreI will be more succinct from my perspective. I would rather my phone have two or three extra hours battery life with an FHD, than QHD and it turning off as a result of the battery running out. A QHD is no good when the battery has drained to zero. Let's not also forget the battery was only changed so that Samsung could make Note 3 ones incompatible for the 4 so they could sell more of them for the 4. A 0.6% difference in capacity is going make no significat difffernce to anything, other than Samsung;s bank account. The same goes for reverting to USB 2. You now cannot use Note 3 default charging cable with the Note 4. I know a phone that is based around ripping off exisiting customers at every possible opportunity for little discernible improvment.

Bottom line. Their arrogant attitude to customers is now costing them dear and quite frankly it serves them right.

There are tones of devices with lower prices then Samy's phones and with similar or higher specs and with the same or in most cases better quality: Meizu MX4, Xiaomi Mi 4, LG G3, Huawei Honor 6, Iuni U3...

So why should I buy a Samsung phone?!!!

        No Thanks!!!

Samsung have really got to be Kicking themselves about creating the Galaxy S5 an the Letting the Look of the Phone down,an the Critics got at them for using Plastic,so Switched to Metal to Create the Alpha,an made The Front & Back in Matching Colours,Why?wasn"t this offered on the Galaxy S5 to Make the phone Look more Attractive to Buyers,Why?have Samsung made another mistake since the Galaxy S3 an Removed the F.M Radio Function on the S4 or S5 so buyers left Samsung because of this Big Mistake,We now want either a Curved or Flexi-Screen Galaxy S6 to show that Samsung can still produce the Best Smartphones,an also stop Helping Apple an make them Stuggle instead

They should have kept the FHD screen from note3, but oh well.

Also +1 to that guy who was explaining how he doesn't like to change phones every year, so do I. It just make no sense to switch so often.

The worst thing is the QHD screen resolution. It's worthless and useless gimmick in a phone. It just wastes the performance and the battery life.

The cycle to change the devices, for people like me who do not like to change the phone frequently, is ending.
I plan to change my cellphone next year and I will never buy Samsung again. I believe if all users of the Galaxy SIII should do the same (and many will). So the users (the galaxy SIII) who are thinking of changing their phones will probably choose other brands.
If only half of the users of Galaxy SIII think like me, millions will be migrating to other brands, and profit will continue to drop, because like me, they (the another users) also have friends who may be informed of how bad the experience was.
It was a cruel strategy samsung have not released updates for the Galaxy SIII, especially for users who do not like to switch devices like swap clothes.

Samsung isn't having any problems with sales volumes (it is said they even increased sales during the same period), the MAJOR issue is how much they are spending in marketing to achieve those sales -- which is negating the sales figures.

Looking at the number of marketing campaigns that have followed, I'm saying prospects don't look too good.

This is good news for customers because increasing on sale but decreasing profit means Samsung is selling their products less margins that is better products in cheaper price.

The profits will jump next year when they release the s6 and the note 4 would augment to that.

As a current Note 3 user who is eligible for a Note 4 upgrade as soon as my network vendor release it in the UK I can comment. I upgraded from the Note 1 to the Note 2 and then the Note 3. At no point did I regret those decisons. This time I am actually seeing little point. I am actually seriously considering the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 as I am not heavy stylus user and it is more appealing. I find the big deal about QHD on a screen that is less than 6 inches ridiculous. I remain to be convinced the diference will be perceivable. An 1080 display with longer battery life strikes me as far more useful.

Samsung is very successful in creating apple vs samsung image.
Samsungs marketing is good but it cant survicve long without any groundbreaking product.

Samsung really have forgotten their roots. All I seem to see from them recently is the worst advertising I've ever seen, and phones which are undoubtably good but so expensive and aren't innovative. Samsung used to be the forefront of innovation, but now they've relied too heavily on their brand and this is wearing thin for everyone except themselves.

Its not so bad to be humble in making business. Throw away the "egoistic" of high price attitude......
