user, 10 Oct 2014it's time to replace my ZU!! looks forwardNexus 6 is da bomb!!! Can't believe it. 3200 mAh battery. More than Z ultra and S5!!!!!!! The Smaller the screen the more battery life. I think It's gonna have a 5 inch version also. Like Galaxy Nexus(Nexus 3) was 4.65 inches and Nexus 4 was 4.7 and Nexus 5 was 4.95 and this could be like 5.0 inches!!!

dpi is dots per inch - it is used in DTP - with printing materials.
For screens there is only ppi - pixel per inch

Ppi is pixel per inch Dpi is density per inch......ppi deals with screen size and resolution.....dpi is just resolution.....e.g qHDphones will always be 560Dpi , and 5inch FHD phones will always be 441 ppi....ppi for nexus shamu is 496 because it is qHd and 5.9inch

well pixel per inch(inch) is different from density per inch(dpi) so d ppi is 496 and dpi for qhd.resolution is 560....its 560 for all qHD phones....okay?

496 was calculated in REVERSE from an assumed physical size of 5.9 inches.
560 is the actual value resported by the phone, which FORWARD calculates to 5.2 inches.

One around 5", the other around 6". These two devices could have identical specs, except obviously, for the pixel density (screen size).
If this is the case, then I hope that means that google has introduced a way to dynamically pick the proper screen density setting (maybe a table lookup for some hardware flag?), which would allow the two units to share a common system image.

What Android does, is when you switch away from an "activity", it quite literally runs a process to cause it to STOP while it is not in use.
Multitasking means that the different applications *continue* to run while you are focused on other applications.
Android *does* multitask, but by way of background services. The application chooser allows you to change which activities are active and which are dormant, but is quite opposite to multitasking.

matx, 10 Oct 2014why no 64 bit cpu?? why google why ?Why would you want a battery hungry rushed-to-market 64 bit chip that doesn't actually offer any befit over a refined 32 bit chip? On a tablet, it might make a tiny bit of sense for media *production*, but you won't be using a phone for serious media production, so 64bit won't help.
