HTC Hero joins the Android bandwagon with a custom UI

Quite as expected today HTC officially announced their third Android-running handset - HTC Hero. Sporting the most complete feature set of the three it is destined to battle it out with Samsung I7500 for the full-touch...

        Well... after the lame iPhone 3GS (it's good... but not great!), HTC managed to surprise me with HERO. Nice design, nice OS. I would buy that, but I wouldn't pay more than 400 dollars.

                          Again, this looks like T-mobile in the US. Someone posted 850/1900??? The HTC website says HSPA/WCDMA: - 900/2100 MHz. Aren't that T-mobile frequencies?

                                i like the design a lot. clean an sober.
                                donno why the bend botton.. not an issue.
                                capacitive roks. android is promising but needs to grow further.
                                i would buy it.
                                wm and resistive... all s@cks, lags and ugly.

                                  For gods sake!
                                  why cant any phone manufacturer get this right?

                                  8 megapixel camera with xenon flash (or dual flash)
                                  D1 video recording
                                  AMOLED screen
                                  stereo speakers (decent volume)
                                  a specific audio chip for good sound, no rubbish ipod type sound!
                                  div x compatibility
                                  and a decent OS !!!
                                  Come On !!

                                    no flash on the camera
                                    any specs on video camera? 30fps? vga or D1?
