You will be a complete idiot by buying the iPad mini 3. Honestly who would spend 100 dollars extra, in my country even euros, for Touch ID? The gold color isn't even a feature worth mentioning. It's insane! Also, the iPad mini 1 is complete bullocks priced at 250, while you can get the iPad mini 2 for 50 more and it will be better in every aspect.
So the iPad mini 2 will be a nice competetitor to new tablets such as the Nexus 9, but the 1st and 3rd gen. will only be bought by complete idiots.

- New design, more compact
- lighter
- better ip (dust and waterproof) rating
- slightly upgraded cpu
- slightly upgraded display (contrast and sunlight visibility)
- new color option (however it is not an upgrade IMO)

ipad mini 3 is not worth it i think the touch id and gold color is not inovation for this model and we should keep buyng the mini 2 because of the fact it is the same specs and screen res. i will go to mini2 but its your desicion get the latest device or not ... in my opinion.

And dont worry, it will still sell better than any compact Android tablet on the market.
