Who buys iPad mini 3 just because it has a fingerprint scanner. iPad mini 2 will become cheaper with exact same specs so iPad mini 2 will be the logical choice.

The iPad mini 2 was pretty much perfection apart from its display, which was a cheaper alternative to the Air's. It wasn't an issue, and was only noticeable when put alongside the Air and other HD displays.
If this has the same display tech and chipset, then it's another mistake by Apple.

If you read carefully in Apple.com, mini 3 has A7, WiFi n, and non-laminated display. It doesn't even have 'a new anti reflective coating' Air 2 has. IT'S LITERALLY MINI 2 WITH A TOUCH ID.
Are they seriously gonna charge extra $100 for a finger print sensor? That's a whole new low, even for Apple.
