Asus Zenwatch 3 goes on pre-order in the US for $229.99
The latest smartwatch from Asus can now be pre-ordered in the US. The Taiwanese company announced the Zenwatch 3 at the end of August at IFA, following up with pricing details for the US last month. And now you can make sure you're among the first people to wear a Zenwatch 3 if you pre-order it from B&H.
The price you'll need to pay for that privilege is $229.99, which is very decent for a wearable that comes with a round screen and no 'flat tire' design. Perhaps the biggest shortcoming of the Zenwatch 3 is that it doesn't have a heart rate sensor. The watch should start shipping at some point in mid-November.
The Asus Zenwatch 3 has a 1.39-inch 400x400 AMOLED touchscreen with Gorilla Glass 3, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a six-axis sensor, an ambient light sensor, IP67 water and dust resistance, and a 340mAh battery with quick charging (15 minutes for 60%). It's powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon Wear 2100, being among the first watches to boast this new chip that's optimized for wearables. It runs Android Wear.
