"Unstoppable" BlackBerry Motion reaches Canada on November 10

Vlad, 31 October 2017

The BlackBerry Motion was made official at the beginning of this month. The keyboard-less smartphone is now almost ready to launch in the company's home country of Canada.

The Motion will in fact become available over there on November 10. You'll be able to purchase one from Bell, Telus, Koodo, and SaskTel. Its no-contract price will be CAD 599 at Bell and SaskTel, and CAD 605 at Telus and Koodo. On the other hand, you pick a two-year term from any of the carriers you're looking at a minimum of CAD 99 spent upfront.

Looking forward to the release, BlackBerry Mobile has published a new 30-second TV ad for the handset on its YouTube channel (it's embedded above). This video claims the Motion is "unstoppable", and we're sure the company would like that to apply to sales.

The Motion is IP67 certified for water and dust resistance, and it's powered by the Snapdragon 625 chipset. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p touchscreen, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, a 12 MP f/2.0 main camera, an 8 MP selfie shooter, and a 4,000 mAh battery. It runs Android 7.1 Nougat.
