Xiaomi patents a corner selfie camera design
The full-screen front design has become pretty common lately although, most of the full-screen implementations are on high-end to mid-range devices. So what about the low-end? It appears that Xiaomi has a pretty nifty solution in the works as per the latest patent.
The listing reveals a smartphone design with a front-facing camera crammed up in the upper corner of front panel. At first, the cutout seems smaller than the current punch-hole implementations and some of the pictures even suggest that cutout isn't even necessary.
It may seem a bit strange at first but come to think of it, if dual front-facing cameras become a more common thing, Xiaomi's solution seems reasonable enough.

I find the first design pretty cool. If the cameras are small enough the "notches" would be almost non-intrusive, would look good and symmetrical and give room for double selfie cameras for bokeh and such. The second one has a screen that's too curve...
