vivo is preparing an iQOO U5x with an LTE-only chipset

Yordan, 15 March 2022

The vivo iQOO U5 is official since the end of 2021 but a new leak points to a cheaper version being on the way. The device will be called vivo iQOO U5x and while it will have a Snapdragon 600 series chipset, it will be one limited to 4G connectivity - the Snapdragon 680.

The leakster revealed other specs of the phone, including a tall 6.81” LCD with HD+ resolution and standard 60Hz refresh rate. There is a dual-camera setup on the back which is said to have a 13MP main shooter, accompanied by a 2MP sensor.

The chipset will be coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, and there will be a micro SD slot to expand the latter.

The battery capacity is 5,000 mAh, but charging will be limited to 10W.

Body-wise, the phone is just 8.3 mm thin and will weigh around 180 grams. The iQOO U5x will be available in Black or Blue, but we get nothing about pricing or availability at this point.
