Google's upcoming Pixels just can't stop leaking. Not a day goes by without multiple leaks about them, and today is no different. For the first leak of the day, we have some details about the Pixel 9 range's surprising software version, storage options, batteries, and charging. Let's dive right in.

The Pixel 9 family is now rumored to launch running Android 14, and not Android 15, breaking with the Pixel tradition just like the announcement in August breaks with the tradition of having new high-end Pixels launch in October.

This is most likely due to Android 15 not being finished by the end of August, which in itself wouldn't be new - last year, Android 14 was delayed as well.

The Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL will all start at 128GB of storage. The Pixel 9 will have 12GB of RAM, the Pros will get 16GB. The Pixel 9 will also be offered with 256GB, the Pros with 256GB/512GB/1TB.

The charging speeds for the upcoming phones seem to have been improved somewhat compared to their predecessors'. The Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro will be advertised to charge to 55% in 30 minutes, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL will go up to 70% in the same time period.

All of these numbers will be achieved with a Google 45W USB-C charger, which will be made available when they launch. Currently, Google only sells a 30W USB-C charger. The Pixel 9 Pro XL will have a 5,060 mAh battery, 10 mAh larger than the Pixel 8 Pro which it will replace. For reference, the Pixel 8 Pro reached 50% in 30 minutes with the 30W USB-C charger.

Google will also promise "24 hours of battery life" for all models, with up to 100 hours reachable in Extreme Battery Saver mode.

These companies always get sooooo close to perfect then miss the mark. Again pixel 9 pro. Perfect size and large battery and flop on charging speed. Then slap a 1000.00 price tag on it. Can they not hurt themselves. Ugh its exhausting.

Coming with Android 14 that means it will have same updates like Pixel 8. 8 could be a better option once 9 has been launched

Well no because i dont buy overpriced painfully slow garbage.
