OnePlus Open Apex Edition arrives on August 7 in Crimson Shadow

Vlad, 01 August 2024

OnePlus is getting ready to introduce a new colorway for its first foldable smartphone, the Open. This will be called Crimson Shadow, and the company says it represents the signature "Never Settle" red. The finish on the back has a fake leather texture as you can see.

The OnePlus Open in Crimson Shadow won't, however, be a regular OnePlus Open. Instead, this is billed as the OnePlus Open Apex Edition. That makes us think it will come with beefed up RAM and storage, but that't just us speculating, the company itself hasn't revealed anything more at this time.

Still, we can feast our eyes upon the upcoming hue, seen above by itself and below alongside the existing OnePlus Open colorways - Emerald Dusk and Voyager Black.

The OnePlus Open is currently being offered internationally with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, so we're wondering whether this Apex Edition will have more than 16GB of RAM along with 1TB of storage. All will be revealed in just six days, so stay tuned.
