Xiaomi overtook Apple in terms of global sales for August

Xiaomi claimed the number two spot in Counterpoint Research’s global monthly sell-through volumes for August. The Chinese brand outpaced Apple which came in third place while Samsung retained the leading spot.

Xiaomi’s shipment figures in August remained flat but Apple’s seasonal decline in shipments ahead of the iPhone 16 series launch played a pivotal role that led to its declining market share.

On the other side, Xiaomi has been growing rapidly in 2024 with 22% year over year growth in sales volume. Counterpoint analyst point out Xiaomi’s success in the sub-$200 price range with the Redmi 13 and the Note 13 series devices being key growth drivers across key markets such as India, Southeast Asia, Latin America and the Middle East and Africa.

This is still not equal and valid. Make all phones from all brands listed here in GSMArena available in all of 206 existing countries at every electric and electronic shop, at every vendor and lets see which brands will sells most. Bet my sallary...

Literally doesn't matter, you can get iPhones or Galaxies cheaper than Redmis with carrier contract, and most people does that, they got pretty much free iPhones.
