One UI 7 design changes showcased in early video
One UI 7 is expected to arrive in January 2025, alongside the Galaxy S25 series. We have seen leaked images of the interface, which will be based on Android 15, but now the YouTube channel Mobile Wala Bhai has revealed more about the UI in its latest video.
The software is installed on a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and reveals some design improvements, including a split Quick Panel - one page for notifications and the other for quick settings. The video is not in English, but with the power of YouTube Auto Translate, anyone can understand the key points.
The lock screen will allow you to change the clock's position and mini widgets, and now there is a mini pill-shaped element at the bottom for emergency call and charging animation.
During the video, we could spot different app icons for some system apps, like Camera, Contacts, and Gallery. Widgets like Battery, Device Care, and Weather got a redesign, and we could also spot some new widgets, like Images, Stories, and Secure Wi-Fi.
The notification panel revealed that notifications are getting bigger with rounded edges. We don't know whether this will be the default setting or if it can be customized. It is better visually but puts less information on the screen, especially for people who constantly get different notifications.
