OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R global launch date revealed

Vlad, 17 December 2024

OnePlus has recently revealed that it would launch the OnePlus 13 internationally next month, and today the company has seemingly confirmed the exact date and time of the event. And not just that, but it's referring to this as the "OnePlus 13 Series Winter Launch Event". The word "series" in there pretty much confirms that there will be a OnePlus 13R and it will get official at this event.

Since there's no location attached to the event, we assume it will be online-only. As you can see below, it will take place on January 7 at 10:30 AM EST, 4:30 PM CET, and 9:00 PM IST.

The OnePlus 13 comes with a 6.82-inch 1440x3168 LTPO AMOLED screen with 120 Hz refresh rate and 4,500-nit peak brightness, the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, 12/16/24GB of RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB of storage, a triple rear camera system (50 MP main with OIS, 50 MP ultrawide with autofocus, 50 MP periscope telephoto with 3x zoom and OIS), a 32 MP selfie snapper, and a 6,000 mAh battery with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. It will run Android 15 with OxygenOS 15 on top.

The OnePlus 13R's rumored specs include a 6.78-inch "1.5K" LTPO OLED screen with 120 Hz refresh rate, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, 12/16GB of RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB of storage, a triple rear camera system (50 MP main with OIS, 8 MP ultrawide, 2 MP decorative), a metal frame, an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, and a 6,415 to 6,500 mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging.

Update: The company will also be launching a new Sapphire Blue variant of the OnePlus Buds 3 Pro. The earbuds will be getting AI Translation in collaboration with the OnePlus 13 series.

It is not true about 13: Same main camera as 12 Lyt 808. Further more, darker daylight photos compared even with S20. Same charging as 12 at 100w

A Chinese import is currently $750 and the person was asking about USD specifically. The OnePlus 12 was $800. Naturally the 13 will be more expensive in Europe as per usual.
