vivo X200 in for review
vivo announced its X200 lineup this year, adding an X200 Pro mini into the mix, but that one is seemingly not leaving the Chinese market. We are getting the vanilla vivo X200 internationally, though, and it just arrived in our office.
The handset is roughly the same size as the X200 Pro and runs on almost the same hardware. The design is almost identical too, btu the X200 has a slightly smaller 6.67-inch display while still offering the same resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ certification as the X200 Pro.
The X200 retains the Dimensity 9400 SoC, which in global markets can be had with either 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage or in a 16/512 GB configuration.
The camera hardware is the biggest difference between the X200 and the X200 Pro. While the ultrawide camera is the same, the main one on the X200 uses a slightly smaller 50MP 1/1.56" sensor, and the periscope telephoto shooter's specs read 3x 50MP f/2.6 instead of 3.7x 200MP f/2.7.
Still, we expect solid all-round camera performance, but you'd have to wait for the full review to see how close the X200 gets to its more expensive X200 Pro sibling in terms of camera quality.
The X200 employs a 5,800 mAh Si/C battery capable of 90W wired charging. The system also supports reverse wired charging but doesn't get any wireless charging support like the X200 Pro.
All in all, the vanilla vivo X200 looks like a solid all-rounder that may well be the better value in the family. We will have to hold off our verdict for the full review and see how it stacks against the competition as well, though.

I will never understand the FuntouchOS hate. I've tried it and it's not look bad, because for me it looks simpler, even simpler than the competition like One UI, ColorOS, or HyperOS. You guys just don't like it because it's not as...

Do you think I don't know that? Wireless charging is just an option not a daily/regular thing. I have owned much more phones than anyone of you so I certainly know what I am talking about. Did I ever mention that you should all utilize wireless ...
